Depression

The first topic post is on depression. The hippocampus, amygdala, and prefrontal cortex are the parts of the brain that “controls” your depression. With depression the levels of certain chemicals are all elevated. Those parts of the brain are where most emotion comes froms. The chemicals being elevated cause the disorder. Depression is considered a strong mood disorder depending on how badly the chemicals are elevated. The higher it’s elevated, the stronger your depression, thus leading to suicidal thoughts and thinking that you need to hurt yourself. It’s all a chemical embalance that can easily be fixed with medicine perscribed by your doctor. Some people don’t like taking medication for various reasons. It can make you feel sluggish or sometimes worse. Most medicine drags more emotion away from you to the point where you feel nothing. However some medication does make you feel indeed happy not as much feeling “drugged” like some ant-depressants do.
